CAVITY
FIRE BARRIERS provide integrity and insulation - the
integrity stops the fire and smoke for a given time and the insulation
stops the heat transferring through the barrier to the other side
for a given time.
FIRE AND SMOKE BARRIERS provide integrity only.
These barriers are used where insulation is not required. If the
customer isn’t sure which barrier he requires he should
always check with his local Building Control Officer.
FIREFLY
Fire Barriers correctly installed within structural cavities
and voids will reduce the level of transmitted sound as follows:-
