FPG
Fireplug intumescent
grills are available in a wide range of sizes with face plates available.
Face plates are supplied 50mm larger than grill in both height and
width. |
Fireplug FPG and
FPCG intumescent grills are manufactured using Firefly type 105
intumescent Honeycomb and are supplied within a metal surround. |
| Fireplug FPG are available for 1/2,
1 and 2 hour doors and 2 hour duct ventilation. |
Fireplug FPCG
can be supplied as an integral component of a female coupler (MCF)
or male coupler (MCM) or with it's own metal surround for standard
sizes 100mm and 150mm circular, for up to 2 hour protection.
If face plates are required they are
normally supplied louvered i.e. non-viewing. This means when
ordering state clearly height and width to ensure louvres run in
the correct fashion. Fireplug FPG grills come in a full range
of sizes. |
Free airflow has
been calculated to give a minimum of 70%, with grills of 300 x 300
giving in excess of 80%. |
Under the action
of heat, the honeycomb openings seal up to prevent the passage of
hot gases and toxic fumes. |
Fireplug FPG has
been tested by TRADA to British Standard BS476 part 20, on 14th
May 1993, test No. IT360 and at the Building Test Centre to British
Standard BS476: Part 22: 1987: Clause 5, following the methodology
of PREN 1366.3 (1993). Also by Chiltern International Fire,
to BS476 Parts 20 to 22, Test No. FE1/F97006 and to BS476 Part 22,
Test No. FER/F97023, 19th March 1997. |
Fireplug FPG &
FPCG have achieved suitability for use in 1/2, 1 and 2 hour doors
and up to 135 minutes for duct ventilation. Full Reports are
available on request. |
Fireplug FPG are
designed to suit most firedoors. Simply cut a hole in the
door to give a tight fit around the FPG, a bead of intumescent mastic
can be place around the perimeter of the FPG, between the grill
and timber, to seal the surrounds if required. The louvered
face plates are supplied approx. 50mm oversize in order that they
can be screwed into the door. |
Fireplug FPG and
FPCG are designed for use within H & V Ductwork, Pipes, etc.
They should be positioned at each fire break point where they act
as a damper in the event of a fire. |
