FPG
Fireplug intumescent
grills are available in a wide range of sizes with face plates available.
Face plates are supplied 50mm larger than grill in both height and
width.
Description
Fireplug
FPG and FPCG intumescent grills are manufactured using Firefly type
102B intumescent in a 25mm x 25mm grid.
Fireplug FPG & FPCG grills are available for one hour fire resistance
and was tested at Chiltern Fire Laboratories under Test No. Chilt/IF05088
If face plates are required the are normally supplied louvred no
vision. FPG Grills are available in any size, but the face plate
sizes are restricted.
Free air flow has been calculated to give a minimum of 50% for a
100 x 100mm FPG rising to 76% and higher for a 300 x 300mm and upwards.
Action
Under the action
of heat, the honeycomb openings seal up to prevent the passage of
hot gases and toxic fumes.
Performance
Tested
to prN 1634:Pt2 & BS476 Pt 20 acheiving one hour fire resistance,
Test documents available on request.
Application
Fireplug FPG are
designed to suit most firedoors. Simply cut a hole in the
door to give a tight fit around the FPG, a bead of intumescent mastic
can be place around the perimeter of the FPG, between the grill
and timber, to seal the surrounds if required. The louvered
face plates are supplied approx. 50mm oversize in order that they
can be screwed into the door.
